We REALLY need a like button.

But, I'm saddened by the fact that no one in particular has the quote attributed to them.

Some of these could readily apply to politics as well...

The pessimist says, "The glass is half empty."
The optimist says, "The glass is half full."
The engineer says, "That glass needs a handle."

Then lay claim to it, Man!!!

I have one myself that I've stated for many years. At some point, someone said that they thought someone else had originated the quote, but with all my Google-fu skills, I've yet to find out who it might have been. Thus, I lay claim to it as my own.

"I know what I know, and I know what I don't know, therefore, I DO know it all!"

“The 1911 pistol remains the service pistol of choice in the eyes of those who understand the problem. Back when we audited the FBI academy in 1947, I was told that I ought not to use my pistol in their training program because it was not fair. Maybe the first thing one should demand of his sidearm is that it be unfair.”

"This 'telephone' has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us."
