Professor advocates "non standard English" in coursework

    He says we shouldn't criticize students who use improper English in academic work because it's not positive reinforcement. This is definitely gonna go a long ways towards helping them find a real job after they graduate. "Like, brah, give me the job cuz I'm like the best candidate and stuff.":disappointed:

    And yes I realize my slang is a bit dated, but I don't speak millennial so work with me here.:laugh2:

    When I was in college I actually had someone text me their contribution to a group paper. Let's just say he was of a certain protected class of persons, and despite doing zero work and missing all of the group meetings he still got an A along with the rest of us. Needless to say we were a little miffed.
